Hey! I wanted to share some photos from Kayla’s session that we did downtown Poulsbo.
Working with Kayla was so much fun! She is a theater fan like me, and she and her friends make their own movies! I love connecting with creative high school seniors.
Before we did her session, Kayla and I looked at some different wardrobe options. She had quite a few outfits she was thinking about, and I had some pieces from my style closet that I suggested. We finally came up with four different looks that were perfect for the various spots in downtown Poulsbo.
To start with, Kayla wanted to do a look with bellbottoms that are super trendy right now. I had the yellow top and necklace in my style closet that pulled together the outfit.
Her rose gold homecoming dress with the leather bomber jacket was super fun and flirty. It’s always good to mix dressy and casual outfits for your session.
The third look was all from my style closet. I have a variety of accessories and clothing pieces that I can offer my seniors to use during their sessions. This can help add variety to sessions or add layers to clothing that is already owned.
Kayla also wanted to do a look with a flower crown. I was super excited about this, I love romantic boho looks. She paired the flower crown with a vintage Gunne Sax dress that her mom found at a thrift store.
Choosing what to wear during a senior session can be scary or overwhelming for some seniors. But there is no need to worry, I will help you think about what looks best for your session and help you make your final wardrobe decisions.
I always suggest starting a senior photo Pinterest board even before you pick a photographer. This way, you will know what kind of images you are looking for and can find someone who can create the look you want. I use these boards to help direct you to certain clothes that would look great in the locations you are interested in.
